All entrants, other than those competing at Hornsby on March 24,  should have received their letters by now. Hornsby letters have been posted today (Friday). 

Letters to teachers include the heat details for most Hornsby entrants.

Completed heats

The heats at Jamison High, Penrith and International Grammar School, Broadway were held this week.  We thank these schools for making their facilities available and hosting us so well.

Congratulations to the 20 Regional Finalists who qualified at these heats. 

Adjudicators and other helpers

You will be notified of your agreed venues as soon as possible.  We are still seeking qualified helpers for most venues.

Southern NSW

The NSW southern regional competition has moved to a new zone, shared with the ACT.  For further details contact the zone coordinator.

Central Coast and Newcastle

Entries for the Central Coast heats close on  April 1.  Heats will be held on April 21 at Brisbane Waters Secondary College, Woy Woy, commencing at 6.30.

Newcastle heats are to be held on April 20 (Juniors) and April 22 (Seniors).

The Sydney Metropolitan regional heats are being held from March 9 to March 26, 2010.  Remaining heats are to be held at

Metropolitan Regional finals

Metropolitan Regional Finals will be held from  May 19th to June. 2nd.

There will be five venues in Sydney. 

Abbotsleigh School, Wahroonga on Wednesday May 19th

Georges River Secondary College, Oatley on Monday May 24th

St Aloysius' College, Milsons Point on Thursday May 27th

Easts Leagues Club, Bondi Junction on Monday May 31st

Our Lady of Mercy College, Parramatta on Wednesday June 2nd

Winners of these Regional Finals will proceed to the State Final.

A DVD of the 2009 State Final is available to schools for training purposes, at a cost of $30.  The DVD will be distributed shortly.

NSW Zone Final

This will be held in NSW Parliament House on Saturday, June 26th 2010
